Ideas for Cast Iron Cookware
If you prefer to cook with fire, then use cast iron cookware. Build a large fire with plenty of fuel, wood is fine but add a little charcoal too. Once the fire has come down, use the charred wood and charcoal to place around the cast iron cookware. Cast iron will cook your food evenly and it usually ends up super yummy. Make sure you cook a dessert too.
Camping Kitchen Organization Tips
Use one large storage bin to pack all of our dry food. Within the large bin we may put grocery bags or smaller plastic bins with labels. Some people like to pack entire meals in each bin. However, it is easier for us to find things when each bin/bag is labeled with the type of food in it. Such as Bread, Crackers and Cookies, Vegetables, Pasta and so on. We even use smaller bins for in the cooler with labels such as Lunchmeat, Cheese, Fruit, and condiments.
Bringing a fan to camp is important for sleeping but it is also important for your camping kitchen. Fans will help move smoke and steam away from the cook. If flies or other bugs are swarming a fan will keep them far away. When the weather is hot it is nice to sit at the picnic table eating dinner with a fan pointed toward the people. It will also keep bugs away during dinner.

Hopefully, there will be a picnic table where you camp, but sometimes there is not. Sometimes, we have extra people with us that do not fit on the picnic table, so it is always nice to have a camp table with us.

Camping Kitchen Lantern Ideas
There have been so many nights that we are late getting supper on the table. We always feel like we are making good time, then the sun starts to set. We do, what most of you do, hold flashlights towards where we are cooking. Sometimes, we even use up our cell phone battery by turning on the cell flashlight. Dumb! The lantern is key to having dinner done in the dark!
