On our way to Hard Rock in Riviera Maya, Mexico! We love traveling and traveling to Mexico is one of our favorite places to go. Watching out the window as we approached the Yucatan Peninsula was breathtaking. Riviera Maya, not only sounds like paradise but has the most gorgeous views that any traveler wants to see. The beautiful blue/teal waters, the lush green trees, and the tiny houses placed along the dirt roads was such a welcome sight.
There isn’t a bad location on the west side of the Yucatan Peninsula but our destination was Riviera Maya, South of Cancun and just North of Tulum at the luxurious Hard Rock Cafe Resort.
The transportation to the Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya from Cancun Airport was quick and cool (super hot when we landed.) Luckily, there were some very nice people selling very cold drinks as we waited for the hotel shuttle! The Hard Rock shuttle was easy to use, what a relief, because who wants to start a vacation with transportation issues. We went through some great locations that gave us a taste of the area.
Arriving to The Hard Rock literally included a red carpet!! A staff member holding ice cold glasses of water on a tray and a lot of smiles!
Our room was absolutely gorgeous!! There was so much luxury and beauty at every turn!
The view from our room overlooked a central area which included a pool. It really was beautiful!
The plaza is an open area that was used for parties, entertainment and one night we had a dinner at the plaza.
After checking into our room we immediately went out to the pool (one of many pools) to have a tropical drink and soak in the sun!

Hard Rock has thought of everything when it comes to kids at the resort! Family traveling is our specialty so we are always looking for fun experiences for our kids. The pools could be enough but the Kids Club has so many fun and exciting things to keep our kids coming back. This is just an example of a schedule.
When we were there it was Mexican Independence Day so there was a HUGE party for the entire family with performances, dancing, music, craftsmen and of course amazing food. This night was a highlight of our week in Mexico because we got to experience so much of the culture.
It’s always fun to add some fun to the afternoon with a FOAM PARTY!! We had never been in a foam party before, but we loved it! We laughed so hard, because we couldn’t find each other, had foam in our mouths or for no reason at all, we just found it totally hilarious!! Always look at the resort schedule for the day to find fun things to experience right on the resort property!
We loved our pool and beach time but everyday we also looked forward to our spa time and meals! I mean really isn’t that why we do all inclusive resorts?? YES!! One of our favorite places to eat was ZEN, oh yummy!!!! I loved the sushi but the stir frys are awesome too!
The Hard Rock at Riviera Maya in Mexico has so many amenities that make it a stand out luxury resort for families! We can’t wait to go back!
The foam party looked like a lot of fun. I have not been to one either.
Sounds like a great place to stay! I bet Mexican Independence Day was fun. It’s been many years since I’ve been to that area. It’s so beautiful, and there is something for everyone.

My husband and I went to Mexico to renew our vows. When were deciding on a location in Mexico, this was one of them. I’ve been telling my husband that I want to return. Your post has REALLY convinced me that we need to go here!

I stayed at the Hard Rock RM this past April. Amazing resort. Huge facilities to host my company’s activities & parties, indoor and out. Truly beautiful. Something for everyone!
