Parasailing in Marathon Florida

As we planned our trip to Marathon Florida, we knew water sports in Florida was top on our list. Researching possible parasailing in the Keys companies resulted in many great options. We were super excited when we found a water sports company located right in Marathon in the Florida Keys.

Z Flight Parasailing and Watersports

In the late afternoon, we headed out to Z Flight Parasailing and Watersports. We were hoping to fit in parasailing and jet skiing before the sunset. It is super easy to book the watersports right through the website, but we also gave Howard a call just to check on how parasailing works. As first-timers, we were a little nervous. Howard put us at rest and we were looking forward to a fun day of parasailing and jet skiing. We want to thank Z Flight for hosting us for an awesome day!

7 Mile Bridge Entrance

We pulled into the parking lot right before the 7-mile bridge on the bayside. If you have a hard time finding the booth to register, look right behind Porky’s. These two sunshiny faces greeted us as we arrived. They were both super friendly and put us at ease.

We watched as they prepared the boat for our adventure. There were two other families parasailing with us, and it was fun to chat and get to know them. It was fun to watch as they prepared the parachute and lines. Everyone felt super safe and ready to go!

Fun While Parasailing

We met Howard as we boarded the boat. Humor is a forte for Howard, which we knew would make our trip even more enjoyable. Pay attention to his playlist. I don’t want to give it away, but oh my goodness we were all laughing! He and the deckhands had us laughing the entire trip. Mason and Marty decided they would parasail. Cooper and Pam decided to stay on the boat. It was interesting to see how they suited everyone up. Everyone was all set to go when it was our turn.

First, we went parasailing and it was a total blast.  Mason and Marty went up and Cooper and I watched. They sat on the back of the boat and then the line was gently let out while the boat accelerated. With more speed, the parachute went higher and higher until they were just little specs in the sky. There was a photographer on board (you will pay extra for some specialized photos by Z Flight), we just took our own. We love the pictures from this trip!

Coming back down went smooth as well. Just about as they were about to come back to the boat, Howard slowed just slightly to dip their feet in the water! It was so much fun! We headed back into the marina after they landed smoothly and were unharnessed. We were hoping to also fit in jet skiing but the sun was done for the day, and we headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. Watch the parssailing flight here!
